the one that gave me fits.................................

Here is the blade I had four different ideas for within thirty minutes (while forging it) so I finally just set the thing aside for the rest of the day. I'm blaming it on to much coffee!
It ended up surprising me, I'm really liking it! She has a couple of little problems, but then, don't we all!

Gary, I don't know what other ideas you had for this knife, or what problems she has, but from what I see she's just beautiful.

Yep, that's ol smudly. I was surprised myself with the way it turned out!
Thanks guys for the nice comments.
I'm really liking the dropped handle too Ed. It gives you more leverage on a power stroke, makes cutting rope (or anything else) a breeze.
My grinder works well for the Michael Price grind. I just need to fine tune it and she'll almost be a Burr King..........lol.
Just little things Phil, entirely cosmetic. I think this is my finest one yet. She flexed with ease, now comes the cut portion of the testing. I'll do that in the next few days.

Very nice indeed Gary! Let us know how she cuts, i bet it's not to bad. LOL What is your thicker red spacer made of, it looks really sharp, no pun intended.

Great job Gary! Terrific looking grinds and that is a beautful handle. I remember talking at the seminar about you melding the Price ground blade with the Scagel style handle. You definitely did a great job with this one.
they aren't little problems...they are learning curves.....LOL
Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing more.

I've been away for awhile, just getting back in the loop.
Thanks Butch.........................I love this knife!
I have yet to cut test with it Cris, when I get caught up here I will. The red spacer material you mentioned is vulcanized fiber around 1/4".

Gary,
I'm speachless, that blade is awsome, I have been envisioning something very close to looking like that. I hope you won't be taking me to court someday. Your ladies will soon be recognized as super models. And your photos are exceptional also.
