As I read I see he is or was a knife maker, his website no longer is active.
You have to admire a man who thinks this clearly when he is in serious trouble.

wow! that was a rough day that is for sure. and could have been much worse if he had panicked. and he is to be admired for keeping his head for sure.

 wonder if game and fish are going to take care of the bear or not.

Fortitude! And the will to survive. He lived because he kept his nerve. Wow!
Most people would have gone into serious shock from the looks of those wounds.
That guy must be tough!  Mom's said leave us alone. 
I hope he heals quickly.  There are still wild places I guess.

Game and fish are not going after the bear, they figure it was just doing what bears do and it was not a planned deal on the part of all concerned.

Kind of reminds me of when I met my ex wife! Smiley
