just got done for a friend of mine since high school - for his wifey he's surprising her with it.

Used Permanganate - have a friend tho who boils down sugar and gets a deep rich reddish color on horn and such, might have to give that a try soon.

thnx - fun little knife to build - came out better than i expected , want to keep it but it's spoken for

Permanganate, thanks I have been meaning to get some.  I know where to get the sugar!  Red knife handles are some of my favorites.
