Well this is a knife i just finished up fore a friend of mine, i hammered it out of 1 inch round 52100, i hardened the blade 3 times, and tempered the blade 3 times, i filed some notches on the spine of the knife fore your thumb to rest on, i would not have done that if this was my knife but it was what my friend wanted, she seams to hold a great edge so i hope he likes it, so any way i just wanted to share a few pics.

Gustav,

She is a sweetheart of a blade. I like your rounding on the guard neat. I hope you told him that those grooves on the spine could cause catastrophic failure so he should avoid lateral stress and twisting?Huh??

Thanks for Sharing

Thanks Harold i do like the blade on the knife it was what he wanted but ya i told him i would go without the grooves on the spine but he told me he had to have them, i don't like them just doesn't feel right against your thumb, i kinda like the guard that is another thing he wanted he had me layer German silver and brass then hard solder them together to make the guard, kinda a neat look, but one thing i really do like is how well she seams to take an edge i cant wait fore him to try it out, well i hope he tries it out LOL.  Well thanks fore taking a look at her Harold and i will talk with you later
