I acquired this material from an Australian fellow about two years ago. After a full year of continued drying in my shop ceiling, I sent it off to be stabilized. By the time I got around to  using it for handle material, I forgot what it is!!
So, it's just Stabilized Aussie Burl.
What else can I say.
Blade forged down from 1 inch 1984 5160. Heat-treated "Willow Bow Style"!
Stainless hardware. Full length thru-tang construction.
Heavy wet-molded sheath.
This package should last a life-time!
Comes with zippered pouch and Certificate of Authenticity.

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Thats a beauty for sure Karl, what are the overall dimensions if you don't mind me asking? It was nice to get to meet you and spend a little time with your knives in person. They are all that the pics show and a hundred times more!
