1  KNIFE TALK / General Discussion / New Chat Room on: February 14, 2014, 03:06:10 PM
Hi all

I am currently updating the Knife Talk Forums to the latest version. It is a daunting project that wakes me up at night
screaming. However once the update is done I can then make alot of improvements to the Forum that have been
behaving really wonky. Until then I have implemented a workaround for the Chat that I think (positive thoughts!)
will work well. Try it out and let me know your thoughts an issues.

Thanks everyone for being so patient!

Regards,
Jeremy

Hi Everyone,

So we were hijacked by a junkie vampire. Not sure why she picked us but Cest La Guere (Thats the war).
I tried to restore everything but we may have lost a couple of days worth of posts, I apologize for that.
If you have problems loging in, or anything else you notice please let me know. Thanks for everyones patience.

Warm Regards,
Jeremy

There is only 100 mb allocated to the attachment folder and it is just about full. If I empty it we will lose all the pics that are currently attached to posts. It is better if you can host the pics from an external photo site and link to them in the post.

6  KNIFE TALK / General Discussion / Re: BEWARE NEW POSTERS on: October 30, 2008, 07:39:48 PM
I have been deleting them everyday, the problem is the visual verification used for registrationon the  forum has been corrupted and while i work on the issue the forum is vulnerable to these bogus members. I can turn the faulty verification back on but that would keep everyone from being able to register. Problem should be fixed shortly. Thanks for your understanding.

I ended up removing subscriptions due to a technical problem and the lack of subscriptions. I will take care
of you, no need to renew.

Thanks,
Jeremy
8  KNIFE TALK / General Discussion / Re: Donation Problem on: February 09, 2008, 07:32:11 PM
Chris,

I see what your saying, looks like Paypal is trying to overide the settings in the donations module.
As far as i can tell it looks like it did not actually charge the shipping, but i will go through the donations and I
will refund any shipping charges that have been added on. I will check for everyone that has made a donation
in the past and do the same. Thanks for the heads up and I will do my best to figure out the issue ASAP.
Thanks again for suppoting KTO and all your valuable contributions.

Not only did you all meet the donation goal for January, but you EXCEEDED it by $80.00!   Grin
Our 2008 treasury is now $180.00.

KTO would not exist if it wasn't for each and every one of you who spend your free (and precious) time with us - sharing your knowledge, your stories, and showing your dedication to the fine art and science of performance knives.  There's a camaraderie that exists here like I've never seen at any other forum.

Whether you actively post, sit back quietly and read, join us for a beer and pizza in the chat, or just pop your head in once in awhile to say hi - you are the most important part of this forum.  In fact, YOU ARE this forum.  Thanks for keeping us alive.

(A special thanks to Chris for his kind words!).
